Marc Baaufrere
Mark was born in Paris in 1948.
He was exposed to oil painting when he was young, and since then he has become obsessed with painting and has never stopped painting.
After studying philosophy and film majors, he worked as a film director in France and Africa as a filmmaker. Founded the National Television of Benin during 1979-1980. After returning to France, Mark worked as a researcher at the National Academy of Audition for a period of time, where he produced a film based on animated painting, which was an innovative method at that time. Later, he started his own company, focusing on film distribution and post-production. At the same time, before focusing on the development of the most advanced special effects software “Flame”, he also completed a lot of work for the United Nations mission as an audiovisual expert. Although he has always been active in the film industry, no matter where he lives and what he is doing, painting is an indispensable part of his life and has never stopped. In the early 1990s, he began to feel the need to communicate and create opportunities to engage with the outside world. Thus, He started to participate in some group exhibitions and also solo exhibitions.
